roinish
Scabby, despicable. (Obsolete)
But any word meaning scabby must make a comeback!

just found your blog. love it!!
why no more updates? just found your site a couple weeks ago and was super excited.
I've had some stuff going on this summer and slacked off. I got out of the habit, but I intend to get back to it soon.
Thanks for reading and I'm glad you are enjoying the blog.
Keep it up! I am loving it.
love your blog found it while trying to look up a word someone had used from http://www.savethewords.org I do hope however you're not saying Despicable is an obsolete word, because honestly, that's just despicable behaviour! We use it all the time! :)
May I have your permission to reuse or rewrite some of these definitions in a writer's thesaurus I'm doing?
(So far, it's just going to be blog entries. I suppose it could go broader, but it's just an idea now.)
Or should I be approaching someone else?
I like the word of the day entries.
This is rather excellent, but I do have to point out that roinish has never gone out of fashion in Australia.
Watson, I'm certainly not saying the "despicable" is obsolete. I was refering to "roinish". But, as Gerald PG informs us, they still use it in Australia I guess. Thanks for that info Gerald. And thanks to all for reading and for the comments.
I'm still trying to get back into my routine of posting. Life has thrown a lot at us lately and I'm still reeling. I miss the blog, though, and really did enjoy doing it.
John, my primary sources are listed on the lower left of the blog page. When I do work on my blog, I just look through my books until I find a word that strikes my fancy. The words don't belong to me, so I say, feel free to use what you want.
Your blog is great! It's really helpful because I was looking for obsolete words o the internet for a school project! Just wat I need!
I guess the speakers of our language put the kaibosh on the skybosh and that is why we don't hear it anymore.
